    1. Earlier the opt out scheme was introduced in such a way that students can choose to carry forward their examination fee and exemption to next CA exam attempt I.e. Nov 2020 attempt. And once opt out is chosen it won’t be reverted. But if a student chooses to opt out then his/her “precious” exam attempt will be counted and be lost. It would be highly unfair to those students who are in containment zone or rural areas who would be forced to sought opt out scheme. They would lag behind an attempt as compared to their counterparts in green zone and urban areas.
A PIL was filed in Supreme Court (SC) in this regard to which the SC responded that Institute or Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) should let the students to carry forward their examination fee and exemption to next attempt (Nov 2020) without the loss of current exam attempt. Further the SC asked ICAI to come up with new guidelines in regards to conduct of examination. The SC intends that ICAI should allow the opt out option should be available to students till the last date before conduct of examination. And even if in the middle of examination the situation worsens and some students are unable to give their examination then it should be deemed that students have opted out from examination. Though nothing is confirmed by ICAI about this matter.
It would be too early to frame an opinion about the opt scheme as on 2nd of July a draft stating guidelines about the conduct of examination will be submitted by ICAI and the court would be hearing the case. The final decision still remains pending.
P.S. I feel that students should have faith in SC and ICAI as all the authorities will take decision which is best suited for students. All I can say that students should not worry unnecessarily and should focus on their studies.

I hope I have answered your question aptly. If you feel that I have missed out something or you have any oher query left then feel free to ask. I would love to answer your questions.

      1. That was just beautifully replied, btw I aware from the clashes of SC and ICAI as I am also from professional background.
Just wants to know your opinion as well, Our field has so many complexes, if they gonna conduct the exams then it’ll unfair to those who miss the examinations also their attempt would considered if they chose opt out, On the other hand if they gonna skip the examination then it will a big loss to all who prepared to give the examination.
All coins had two sides, this wasn’t exception as well..
The propaganda is damn too high between ICAI and SC, hope they will soon find the moderate way for the students!!!🤗🤗

        Great replied!!
